Raglan businesses are opening up progressively. This weekend sees the YOT Club opening with gigs on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June.
The YOT Club says that their last night open was Sunday March 15th so they’ve been shut for pretty much 3 months.
WE will be starting in style on Friday with 5 bands beloved by all who attend gigs at the Yotty. Cindy , (The) Contenders, Illicit Wah Wahz, Silver Surfer and Threat v Protocol are all amongst the finest proponents of Underground Rock n Roll in NZ. All will be giving there all plus 20% to make this auspicious occasion one for the ages. Doors open at 7. Door charge is $20. Get in early .We may decide to restrict numbers. Turn up intoxicated or with a bad attitude you won’t get in.
Saturday brings RSD or Rob Smith to his mates and peers. RSD is simply a complete and total legend in the British Bass Music scene. The Bristol native was The Smith in Smith and Mighty and is a peer of such luminaries in Bristol such as Massive Attack ,Portishead and all The Roni Size Drum and Bass crew. His recent releases on the Moonshine Label show him to be as prolific and acclaimed as ever. He played the last 3 houtrs of our last Sunday Session and unfortunately was stuck in NZ during Lockdown. This may well be his only gig before departing these shores. Huge support as always from Tobi from Jafa Mafia and crew. This gig is only $10 and doors will be from 8pm Saturday the 13th June.
