Work underway on Kopua bridge

HEB starting work on the new Kopua footbridge

Work is underway on building the replacement Kopua footbridge. The $2.6 million bridge is being built by HEB Structures for the Waikato District Council.  The main construction base is on the Kopua side where HEB have built a compound to enclose their construction equipment.  During the construction period the changing sheds will be closed.  The BBQ has been put into storage.  Access to the toilet block is still available from Marine Parade.

The new bridge is being built to the north of the present bridge.
