You are here is a moving, breathing, mind-map. It’s about the places we go without leaving home. It’s finding your way through missing, wishing and wanting, when influence and pressure are pointing the way. When all along, the destination is here and now. Join us in a secret garden, discover crazy scarecrows, puriri moth and birds in flight.
This project honors ten years of dance making, our mentors, creative contributors, dancers and all the connections we have made and the memories we keep with us.
Whaingaroa Youth Movement (est. 2003) is a children’s community dance group. We are about being together; to dance, create, and explore ideas collectively. Our performance work is about who we are, where we live and how we see the world.
