Entitled Whaea Te Iti Kahurangi, this by Whaingaroa weaver, Ruth Port exhibition includes harakeke, pingao and kuta. The exhibition is at Art Post in Hamilton from 17 February until 19 March.
Ruth says that, Whaea Te Iti Kahurangi is an exhibition is to acknowledge Papatuanuku, our earth mother. Her constant support, sustenance and love is often overlooked in our busy lives. We as humans are but one strand of her progeny and this exhibition also highlights our other brothers and sisters who share the planet with us.
