Whāingaroa heads into omicron outbreak with 87% double and 60% booster vaxxed

Data released by Waikato DHB on 23rd February shows that good progress has been made with Whāingaroa residents receiving the covid booster vaccination. Sixty percent of the population have now had a booster. While progress on boosters has been very good, double vaxxed progress is flat at 87%. There are 20% of the local population who have not had their first dot. This works out to be 479 unvaccinated people.

Good progress has been made with the 5 to 11 year age group. First dots completed are; Raglan 34%, Around Raglan 36% and Te Akau 40%.
