Another power cut blacked out Raglan tonight (Sun 6th) shortly after 9pm. Callers to WEL in Hamilton were told, “The guys are on their way.” Power was progressively restored from 9.20.
WEL Networks info on power cut provided 7.03.11:
“The Te Uku substation was out for 20 minutes at the time and date you have mentioned below. Our Control Room made an attempt to ‘re-close’ to restore power and this was successful. Accordingly the reason for the outage is unknown at this stage, however we will be undertaking a line patrol (as is standard practice) in order to attempt to detect any anomalies.”
