On Wednesday 21st May the children of Raglan Area School presented a cavalcade of creativity with their Wearable Art Show. Over 200 entrants paraded their creations before a packed audience in the school hall. Up first was The bubbling crocodile by D3. Inspired by the Margaret Mahy story of the same name, the crocodile was made from old curtains, paper mache, bamboo and lost of green paint.

The fast paced show presented the designs with judges, Jean Carbon, Rodger Gallagher and Andre Ngapo studying the creations carefully. The judges selected winners in the categories of Mahy Mayhem,  Heroes & Icons, Over the Top, White Light and Rummage.  Jean Carbon commented how the judges had an incredibly difficult task picking the winners due to the high standard of the entries. Ten entries were selected to go forward to the Raglan Art to Wear competition on Saturday 31st May in the Town Hall.
