WDC expands its online services

Media release: Waikato District Council, 31 May 2016

Council introduces a quadruplet of online forms and services

Waikato District Council is expanding its online services for ratepayers and prospective property owners in the district.

A new ‘Apply for it’ button on the Council’s home page allows ratepayers to apply online to pay property and water rates by direct debit, and allows prospective property owners to apply online for a Land Information Memorandum (LIM) report.

The new online services area completes a ‘Say it’, ‘Pay it’, ‘Request it’, ‘Apply for it’ quadruplet of online forms and services designed to reduce paperwork and make things faster and more efficient for individuals and businesses in their dealings with the Council.

Waikato District Council’s General Manager Strategy and Support Tony Whittaker says the new ‘Apply for it’ facilities offer online alternatives to current paper-based systems that then require people to visit a post office or a district council office to submit their applications.
