The Waikato District Council has advertised the tender for the new Raglan Information Centre and Museum. The announcement on Tenderlink says that the contract is for the construction of the new Raglan Museum and Information centre and is Contract No. 09/061.
The proposed development is for the replacement of the existing museum building and toilet block with a larger two-storey complex incorporating a Information Centre.
Works include but are not limited to:
- Demolition of the existing museum floor slab and foundation
- Removal of selected trees
- Construction of museum building
- Construction of a rock retaining wall below the foundation level
- Supply and installation of windows and doors
- Supply and installation of all fittings and fixtures
- Supply and installation of all heating services
- Supply and installation of fire and security services
- Supply and installation all electrical services
- Supply and installation a lift
- Supply and installation of all plumbing services
- Site reinstatement including paving
The WDC says that all works are to be done in accordance with the construction drawings and the technical specification of the contract documents.
The building was designed by Jamie Bruce of Envision Architectural Services.
