Jessica experiments with brushes, including brushes without bristles. Paint is applied with directional brushstrokes, fingers move paint around in a reductive technique where paint is scraped off.
Jessica has exhibited regularly around New Zealand in both solo and group shows since 1984, she currently resides in Christchurch.This new body of work are abstracted allusions to the landscape – both monochromatic and full colour.
