Waikato District Council news
Water restrictions have today, Monday 25th March, been lifted in Raglan and most other parts of the Waikato District.
Waikato residents in Tauwhare, Gordonton and Matangi residents remain at Water Alert Level 2.
Waipa District recently lifted their water restrictions. Hamilton City remains at Water Level 2.
Although it was a hot, dry summer, Raglan and other Waikato residents effectively managed their water usage which meant the district only moved to Water Alert Level 1.
Waikato District Council Waters Manager Karl Pavlovich is pleased to see water alerts lifted in Ragland and other parts of the Waikato District.
“We thank our communities for their effort over the summer. It’s good to see that the community appreciates that water is a precious resource and are being responsible with water, especially in summer.”
