Wallis gap closed

Orange coats check out new concrete footpath in Wallis Street, Raglan

The last gap in the footpath along Wallis Street was closed this week with a short length of concrete footpath laid up the hill in Wallis Street to finish just outside the office of Bizworx Consultancy.  It will be good to be able to walk up the footpath during winter rather than plod in muddy grass.   Waikato District Council contractors assisted by Telecom’s Chorus were also working on improving the footpath at the end of the Bow Street down to the jetty as part of the same contract.   And the kerb and gutter outside the Hong Kong Kitchen is also being rebuilt.

It is good to see the Council spending ratepayer money on these small but important projects.
