Contract Summary
Council have identified an area of residential zoned properties currently serviced by septic tanks and disposal systems, which would benefit from a Pressure Wastewater Collection system, discharging to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. We subsequently defined the area of benefit of the scheme as approximately 120 existing dwellings, located along the Coast. Of the 120 existing dwellings, 66 residents have signed on to the scheme following consultation.
– Current Design – 69 connections including 66 dwellings/households (including the residential property outside the subcatchment areas), two public toilet facilities and a Child Care Centre (kindergarten) to be connected in April or July 2013- (average flows)
– Additional connections – WDC have given an undertaking to the residents within the area of benefit that they will be able to connect to the scheme up until the completion of the construction. These connections may be added to the contract scope.
All wastewater collected from properties serviced by the new sewerage scheme will be conveyed in a new rising main that travels down the network to the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Ecoflow will be made the designated suppliers of the pressure sewer equipment for this project as a result of their involvement in the earlier options assessment and because these pumps are already in use within the District.
The entirety of this contract is outlined in detail throughout these Contract Documents and the Design Drawings.
