Base Civil start work outside Raglan Museum

Work commenced on Wednesday 1st February to complete the Raglan Museum project.  Although the building was finished last year,  only a temporary dust footpath next to the carriageway had been provided to link the i-SITE and museum to the town area.  Many visitors assumed the dust footpath was for parking, forcing pedestrians to walk on the carriageway.  Other seemed to think that the concrete area outside the musuem was an access road.

Waikato District Council contractors Base Civil have started work on the footpath, drains, kerbing and parking bays.   A Council staff member said that the work will be completed in a few weeks.
