Waikato District Council continues to move online

Following its recent launch of Maps Online, Waikato District Council has now released an electronic version of its District Plan online, coined ‘Waikato district e-Plan’. You can find the map for Raglan here.

The District Plan sets out how Waikato district should grow and outlines what landowners can do with their property.

Features of the Waikato district e-Plan include the ability to:

  • Click on defined words and see their meaning
  • easily navigate between sections
  • search for key words.

Further functionality and integration with Maps Online will be introduced next year.

Tony Whittaker, General Manager Strategy and Support says e-Plan will make it easier for customers to search and explore the district plan and understand the rules and how they’re applied across the district.

“e-Plan shows our continued commitment to improve services for Waikato district residents and making it easier for our customers to do business with us.”

In previous years, the District Plan has been large paper based volumes. e-Plan will eventually replace the hard copies but for now you can still view them at Council Offices.

Waikato district e-Plan is now live, start exploring at www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz/eplan.
