Raglan Green party members and  candidate Robert Moore were the first along to the Raglan Council office on the morning of Monday 8th to take advantage of the advance voting facility.   Six Green Party members, all wearing something green waited for voting to open at 10am. Robert Moore was the first to vote in Raglan once WDC’s Steve Soanes had finished giving final instructions to returning officer Rachel Benn. By late Monday, many people had already voted in Raglan with many names marked off the roll.

Advance voting is available at locations throughout the Taranaki-King Country electorate. You can even make it into a bit of an adventure by having a drive around the electorate. How about a 293 km drive to Stratford, that will take you just three and a half hours. When you arrive you can vote in the Stratford Methodist Church Lounge, Regan Street (opposite New World).  While in Stratford you could go to the movies at the Kings, the heritage cinema.

If you’re willing to wait for Election Day then why not drive 258 km to Whangamomona where you’ll find a voting booth in the Whangamomona Hall at 6013 State Highway 43.
