Tuesday’s agenda of the Waikato District Council’s Finance committee reveals that Council is in line for an insurance payout close to three quarters of a million dollars for the losses incurred during the disastrous fire on Raglan Wharf . So far it has received $236,526 from wharf insurance and will be paid another $466,200 when the replacement contract is let.
The question now is, ‘Will it be possible to build the replacement building for this sum, and when will construction start?’
Hi everybody,
I am currently in the US for three months, mostly in the southern states, in Mississippi at present, was just checking in with whats happening in my home base, and looked at the proposed plan for the wharf reconstruction. As it is in my backyard, I just wanted to say that it looks good, in keeping with how it was and how it should be for the future ! Well done whoever is responsible, will watch progress with keen interest.
Sincerely
Midge Marsden
