The Raglan team that keep an eye out for us are asking for a hand

Past and present members of the Raglan Community Patrol

For over 14 years, the Raglan Community Patrol have helped keep the Raglan community safe. Now they’re looking for a new home – and they’re asking for your help.

The Raglan Community Patrol is looking for a new home for their patrol car. Ideally this would be a free or low-cost lock-up garage they could use. They are also interested in hearing from anybody who could provide land for a garage to be built.

The patrol car helps the Community Patrol carry out their vital community service. On most days, the Raglan Community Patrol heads out in their patrol car checking on what’s going on around Raglan Whaingaroa.

Some patrols are at night while others are during that day. The Community Patrol volunteers cover the area from Greenslade Road to Whale Bay and across to Waireinga Falls (Bridal Veil).

The Community Patrol is not a security service, but a volunteer operation, that liaises directly with the Police. While not getting actively involved in incidents, with a Police radio in car, they can immediately alert the Police to any issues they come across.

If you can help with a garage, please get in touch with Narina on 825 8473 or email cookiebears@gmail.com

And the Community Patrol is always interested in hearing from Raglanites who might want to join the Patrol. More members mean more patrols, day and night.
