The Big Digger

The Digger

The big black digger is the latest exhibit to go on display at Stuart Shepherd’s exhibition at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre.  Stuart has created the sculpture especially for the exhibition.  He says that diggers have mixed strong emotions for people.  For environmentalists the sight of a digger may mean destruction, while for a home owner they mean another noisy day and for developers they are a joy to beheld.   And of course little boys love playing with little diggers.  Indeed, the two small boys in the photo below, never made it into the exhibition to see the big black digger.   They spent their time playing with a little digger in the flower pots outside the Arts Centre.
