Raglan’s Te Huringa Whitiora won a gold in the Junior Varsity division at the Cross Fit Gauntlet Competition in California on Saturday 2nd August. In fact a number of the divisions were won by young Maori NZ’ers.
Katarina W Mataira said, “Woopwoop!! TAMA TU, TAMA TOA, TAMA ORA!! NZ sports men & woman and young people mana at full tide in California as well as Glasgow this past week. Congratulations to Fiona Norton for her special coaching efforts with Te Huringa and to the team at Cross Fit Te Rapa.”
The team was welcomed back at Te Tai Wananga (Ruakura Research Station in Hamilton East – on the way up to the University is the general direction) on Thursday 7th August.
