Vaccination numbers released today (8/12) show that Whāingaroa has made slow vaccination progress. The uptake of Covid vaccination for Raglan is 2574 first dose, Around Raglan on 1952 first dose and Te Akau’s 1227 placing it on the 90% milestone. Second dose vaccinations are even lower with Raglan on 2380 2nd dose, Around Raglan on 1808 2nd dose and Te Akau 1148 putting it on 84%.
Overall Whāingaroa needs another 748 fully vaxxed people to achieve the 90% milestone. To achieve this 331 need to get started with their first dot.

There were nine new Covid cases confirmed in the Waikato overnight, with six in Te Kūiti, one in Ōtorohanga, one in Taumarunui, and one location under investigation. All are under investigation for links to previous cases.
A new location of interest was confirmed today in Hamilton. There are no active cases in Raglan.
