Some Raglan residents are expecting the arrival of a Four Square in Raglan will see prices drop for groceries. The first tactic in the competition has seen Raglan SuperValue replace its old drinks chiller with a brand new big one. We noticed it turned on for the first time on Saturday and by Sunday it was partially full. So the first tactic is competing with a superior product of more chilled drinks.Richard Jacobsen, owner/operator of the Raglan SuperValue told Raglan 23, “I am investing a large amount of money upgrading the refrigeration for Produce, butchery and liquor as well as moving the Post shop to a more suitable position.” Now guys please remember to keep it full.

  1. I am hoping from the 4 square; more local and New Zealand sourced food,I am looking forward to wider aisles and lower shelves, I am looking forward a focus on food produce, rather than having to stand at the supervalue checkout and wait while they deal with the lotto hopefuls, I shall enjoy not standing amongst the alcohol to post a parcel. (Talk about normalising drink and gambling for our kids…) But I get all I need at Wainui dairy along with a lovely smile and chat and the herbal dispensary the Raglan west dairy.

    1. Hi Linda
Thanks for supporting the (little) locally owned businesses in town, and your kind words!
