The first part of the steel structure is now up on the $1.73 million replacement building on Raglan Wharf.  The building is of a similar design to the old building.

The first stage of work included demolition of the old toilet block, provision of temporary toilets and putting down the foundation  for the part of the building that is on reclaimed land. The contractors, Livingstone Building NZ Ltd, are undertaking the project for Waikato District Council.
