Saturday’s Spring Flower Show held in the Union Church Hall was a great success with a wonderful display of flowers and some excellent vegetables. Organised by the Raglan Horticultural Society after a 25 year recess the Spring Flow Show is fully back in bloom.
Entry categories included Flowers, Floral Art, Vegetables plus special sections for children including posies, sand plates and aqua jars. amongst the winners we spotted 1st for Colleen Moore (5-6 stems of Daffodils), Geoff Powell (single Jonquil), Barbara O’Doherty (Floral Art) and Lily Hanifan (Children 6-8 yrs Posy).
Entries were accepted from 9.30am on Saturday morning (6th September 2014) with judging from 11.30am. The Show opened its doors to the public from 1pm, with the prize giving following at 3pm.
