The Soul Shoes leather business is on the move from Bow St to the new building on Raglan Wharf. At the moment business owners Rob Galloway and Marie de Jong are having a big moving sale with a window sign proclaiming 20 to 50% off. The move to the wharf is a return to this area for the leather business as for many years Rob made shoes in the ground floor of the silo buildings with the sales handled by the Bow St Gallery. He later opened a Soul Shoes shop in Bow St and relocated the workshop behind it. Today many sales are online.
Now its back to the wharf for the combined workshop and retail operation which will also sell art work by Rob’s sister, artist Jane Galloway along with recycled Trash Footwear made by Rob’s son Ben. It is expected that move to the new wharf store on the southeastern corner of the new building will happen in November. Raglan Seafoods is also expected to reopen on the wharf in November.
