Raglan’s Aaron Brunet had a close call on MasterChef this week, still sprinkling herbs on his dish of Singapore inspired flavours just one second before time ran out. But even though time was short the judges loved Aaron’s Singapore flavours in the Hokkien Mee, saying they reminded them of stepping off the plane in the island city.
Each contestant was given a ‘boarding pass’ representing a destination and Aaron ended up with Singpaore which he didn’t seem too familar with. Not having made the dish before, Aaron said, “I’m going to make it how I’d love to eat it.”
