The agenda is at http://waidc.govt.nz/Documents-Library/Files/Your-Council/Agendas-2015/150908-RCB-Agenda-(1).aspx. Items on the agenda include –

  1. Water meters “will be installed over the coming months, communication and education programmes are currently being worked on and will be shared with the Board prior to progressing. Although the meters will not be used for charging until 2017/18 it is the intention to issue dummy bills as part of the education programme to ensure residents are aware of the meters, how they work, and what the probable charges are likely to be each six monthly period. This will also provide time for residents to identify leaks and have them fixed before being charged for the Water. The Water Team will also use this information (usage) to identify and fix water losses in the network. . . .Budget $220,500. Currently being scoped.”
