On the 20th September, Raglan Ramblers are off for a climb to the wind farm from Plateau Rd. It is about six kilometres each way to the 500 metre high plateau, seeing where Lake Disappear sometimes reaches. The climb will see the Ramblers enjoying views of Kawhia Harbour, the Waitetuna valley and the massive 130.5m high, 2.2MW wind turbines. Please bring your lunch.

There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook-https://www.facebook.com/RaglanRamblers/. Most walks start at 9am from the James St/ Wallis St corner near Catholic church.

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
