Sep 2: Raglan Spring Flower Show

The Raglan Spring Flower is coming up in early September. The show is organised by the Raglan Horticultural Society. All categories are free to enter with the proviso of one item per class, per person. The show is on Saturday 2nd September 2017 at the Church Hall, 3 Stewart Street. Entries will be accepted from 9.00am – 11.30am.

The show is open to the public from 1pm and prizegiving will be at 3pm.
Entries can be picked up after 3pm.

ENTRY CATEGORY FLOWERS
Class 1: Single Stern Daffodil
Class 2: Vase of Daffodils (5-6 stems)
Class 3: Single Iris (Dutch)
Class 4: Single Jonquil
Class 5 Vase of Freesias
Class 6: Vase of Any Other Spring Flowers

Judging criteria: Colour, creativity, balance, quality. 

ENTRY CATEGORY FLORAL ART
Class 7: Table Decoration
Class 8: Raglan Fantasy
Class 9: Three Flowers and Foliage
Class 10: Posy
Class 11: Beachcomber (includes grasses and wood)
Class 12 Native Plant Decoration
Class 13: Miniature Decoration (max 10cm x 10cm)

Judging criteria colour, creativity, balance, quality.

ENTRY CATEGORY VEGETABLES
Class 14: Brassica
Class 15: Root
Class 16: Onion or Leek

Judging criteria: Quality, colour, firmness.

ENTRY CATEGORY CHILDREN’S SECTION
Class 17: Sand Saucer
Class 18:, Jam jar of Wild Flowers
Class 19: Aqua Jar
Class 20: Miniature Garden on a Dinner Plate

Judging criteria: Imagination.

ENTRY CATEGORY MULTI-MEDIA

Theme: Flowers
Using: paint, metal, clay, wire, paper, knitting, fabric, masks, wool, cardboard, pipe cleaners, shells, dried pasta …….
Let your imagination run wild!

Judging criteria: People’s Choice.
