Sep 19: Bob Marley Tribute in Raglan

Bob Marley became one of the greatest ambassadors of peace the world has seen. He used music to tear down the walls of apartheid and promoted African unity, culture and world peace around the globe. Today, his music continues to be loved by many and is instantly recognized around the world.

We honour the legacy of Robert (Bob) Nesta Marley, an influential musician, advocate for human rights and international ambassador of peace with a ‘Bob Marley Tribute Night’ presented by Uenuku Toa Aotearoa a group of like-minded/hearted individuals who advocate raising positive awareness about important issues and solutions nationally and globally that affect us all in some way shape or form.

The night kicks off at 9pm with reggae grooves from DJ Wiz NZ, followed by live unplugged sets from Uenuku Rawiri, Chingy Williams and friends. Local urban artist ‘Sear’ will paint a Bob Marley Portrait and best dressed in Rasta Steez will win the portrait.

The night will also host a list of music, film, tv, sport and political guests and speakers who will meet, greet, mix and mingle with the public.

Food is available with a sausage sizzle and Uenuku Toa mussel burgers.
