On September 13th, Raglan Ramblers are off to Toreparu and its waterfall. This is about a four kilometre (though if the weather’s good, they could go further). The area is  just north of Aotea to and along the way they’ll be looking at one of Whaingaroa’s 15 large waterfalls, Horokawau. It should still have plenty of water in it! It is beside a wall of basalt columns on the edge of
the Okete Volcanic rocks. Bring your lunch to enjoy it beside the second largest coastal wetland in North Island.

Walks usually start 9am, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
