Another section of road will be sealed in Maungatawhiri Road, just outside Raglan. Waikato District Council has let a contract for $649,579 to Potter Contracting for the third stage of sealing this road. The contract also includes Somerset Lane off Maungatawhiri Road and some minor safety improvements for Te Mata/ Te Hutewai Road. The entire project cost is estimated to be $748,717 including contingencies, relocation of services and professional services fees. If all goes to plan, there will be at least $100,144 unspent out of the budget.
WDC expects that the work will be completed before the end of June.
