Rounding the mark

Saturday 27th was a strange day for weather. It started off with a red sky and finished off with a pink one. My grandfather, and old sailor, always told me: red sky in the morning- sailor’s warning and red sky at night- sailor’s delight. He didn’t say anything about pink skies at night.

Saturday started off hot and sunny with little wind, although there was enough wind for the sailors in the photo to have a race.

Later the rains came, fairly gentle but steady over night and now on Sunday, we have a sunny day again. A day to make the most of until more rain comes tonight.
