Road repairs started in Bow St, Raglan on Tuesday. Strada, the roading company owned by Waikato District Council, began work on milling uneven patches and cement stabilizing the road foundation. Overnight the road construction machines were parked outside the Raglan Museum, so they will be back at work again today, Wednesday.
Although WDC has just set up a road conditions advisory web page, this work is not listed. Council’s roading projects web page currently shows no work underway anywhere in the Waikato. Last week, the Raglan Community Board was given a list of roads to be resealed which included Bow St.
From what we have heard the current repair work on the road foundation will be followed by resealing of Bow St in October. Other roads on the reseal programme will also be done then.
