Reggae at the Old School: Sept LIVE & LOCAL

LIVE & LOCAL Friday Sept 16, 7.30 pm, doors open 7pm, koha entry.

At Raglan Old School Arts Centre,

This Friday – looks like it’s going to be another great Live & Local! This time with a reggae flavour …

WIREMU McCARTHY

An original blend of soul, reggae and chill vibes that will allow listeners to enjoy the sweet and smooth caramel flavours of a modern young Māori brother.

BRUCI JORDAN

Moving to New Zealand in 2017, this surf-rock / reggae artist began his solo career busking. His songs are influenced by old school 70s funk, rock, reggae, ska, and blues mixed with a Brazilian groove. Jordan has released six singles to date and is currently working on a full album and a NZ summer tour on 2023.

TĀKIWA

Everyone knows him as Tux – one of the singer-songwriters for Lost Tribe Aotearoa. Tākiwa will be sharing a collection of songs he wrote during the last 2 years of lockdown, songs which helped him get through these difficult times. “I’ve haven’t shared any of these songs with anyone except for a few close friends. And now the people who come on Friday!”

Live & Local is brought to you with the support of Waikato District Creative Communities, Raglan Light and Sound and Mark Frost – Bayley’s Real Estate
