WDC News

Following on from the Sea Wall repairs late last year, contractors will be onsite from 29th April as Watercare replace the water pipe under the path from the Raglan jetty reserve to the Papahua footbridge.

Once the water pipe is in place, construction of a new 70 metre long, 2.9m wide cantilevered footpath and handrail will be begin. It will replace the existing narrow path alongside of the Opotoru Estuary between the Jetty Reserve and the footbridge.

Construction will be complete by early August. Until then access to the footbridge and across to the Papahua Reserve from Raglan town area will be via the southern portion of the walkway off the end of Wi Neera Street.
