After completing the Te Akau stage on Sunday morning, Rally NZ cars arrived at the Raglan Airfield remote service. After a quick refuel and check they were soon ready and off again for the Te Hutewai One stage.
Chris West of Timaru and co-driver Erin Kyle of Hastings were the one of the first arrivals, coming in 5th on the Te Akau stage in their Andrew Simms Mitsubishi EVO 9. Just ahead of them was 2010 Rally NZ Champion, Dean Sumner from Taupo, who had an intensely competitive day on Saturday, frequently changing positions on the leader-board and had come in 4th on the Te Akau stage.
