Our Top Ten Tips
The Raglan Arts Weekend is NEXT weekend on 26th to 28th October – and we thought we’d share the Top 10 Tips on how to get the most out of the event!
- Familiarise yourself with the artists’ work ahead of time – check out our RAW website/ Instagram/ Facebook to see what grabs your attention.
- Visit our Preview Exhibition at the Old School Arts Centre to see 84 artworks from participating RAW artists – and secure a special artwork ahead of the weekend!
- Plan your route ahead of time – you can grab a Raglan Arts Guide brochure in stores around the country or download the brochure.
- Follow the flags! This is essential – they signpost the very best of Raglan’s talent and show you who is officially part of our trail.
- Don’t forget money! Some artists will have Eftpos, some will allow bank transfers but cash is always good for some of the smaller purchases.
- Parking in town – grab our guide for some guidance on areas to park. You can also park at Papahua Reserve and walk over the pedestrian bridge into town for the central studio locations.
- Don’t miss the opening night for The Hatch, with emerging artists in the Town Hall, on Friday 25th October.
- Make sure you get amongst it all and a little more hands-on with workshops, installations and interactive performances – check our guide for details.
- Follow RAW on social media – @raglanartsweekend for Instagram and @raglanart for Facebook or search #raglanartsweekend2024 to discover talent this year.
- Catch a gig with the Raglan Country and Blues Music Festival – buy tickets @humanitix.
…and please fill in our forms at the artists’ studios so RAW organisers can gather data and better tailor the event in future years.
