With Raglan Weather recording 10mm of rain falling overnight on the 15th April, our fabulous long hot summer is over. And Raglandic people and visitors made the most of summer’s last weekend taking to the streets, the market, the beaches, the harbour and the surf.
Saturday started with the Whaingaroa Hoe waka competition on the harbour and the surfers heading to Manu Bay for the Backdoor GromBash.On Sunday 16th, the harbour saw the Raglan Sailing Club out on the water off Lorenzen Bay and in Opotoru Estuary there was the sea swim in the Raglan Bridge to Bridge. This was a Raglan Swimming Club fundraiser for heating the pool at Raglan Area School.
