Raglan’s SEW-vember community project needs you!

Raglan’s SEW-vember community project  is looking for enthusiastic people who love creating to join our team of volunteers.

SEW-vember is an opportunity for YOU to make your Christmas presents while the kids play and do some crafts of their own.  it is all about families creating a Christmas Craft Tradition for (almost) Free.   Parents of preschool children it’s your turn to use your creative talents away from the finger paints.

We have sewing machines and all you need for almost free (a koha). Meet up with your mates for a craft session and get all your Christmas shopping worries out of the way.

SEW-vember aims to offer an alternative to unsustainable Christmas consumerism, sharing a ‘make don’t buy’ philosophy.

The aim is that SEW-vember will act as a catalyst to enable residents of Raglan to take steps towards a more sustainable future.

  • Do you see the art potential in everyday objects?
  • Do you like the challenge of using foraged, reclaimed and recycled materials or natural resources?
  • Do you have skills to share and like the idea of running your own small scale workshop?
  • Would you be available this November between 9-3 on a Thursday?

Want to be a part of SEW-vember?
