Raglan business The Herbal Dispensary won the Excellence in Business award for Small Business on Friday night at the 2015 Waipa Networks Business Awards! Congratulations and well deserved.
The Award for Excellence in Business – Small Business recognises the small business with from one to five staff that best positions itself against competitors and other businesses to achieve outstanding results and maintain a culture of excellence. It was sponsored by the Cambridge Edition newspaper.
The awards are for businesses in the region of covering Te Awamutu, Raglan and Cambridge. The ward categories are:
- Business Excellence – Businesses must nominate and enter themselves and be judged against a set of criteria by independent judges. One category may be entered.
- Customer Service Awards – Businesses complete a nomination form and are also visited by independent judges and marked against customer service criteria. There is a separate award for Te Awamutu, Raglan and Cambridge
- Customer Choice Awards – Businesses are voted by members of the public during a one month voting period. There is a separate award for Te Awamutu, Raglan and Cambridge
- Emerging Leader Award – For an individual who demonstrates proven leadership equally in business and the community.
- Employee of the Year Award – Businesses can nominate their staff members to receive this award. There is a separate award for Te Awamutu, Raglan and Cambridge
- Sustainability Award – This is a special judge’s award and is not open for separate entry. All Excellence category entrants will be considered for this special award recognising sustainable business practice.
- Award for recognition of outstanding contribution to services to business in the Waipa
The Te Awamutu, Raglan and Cambridge Chambers of Commerce jointly convene these Awards within the Waipa region. Waipa Networks, is the chief sponsor for the Waipa Networks Business Awards 2015.
