Raglan resident and WDC Raglan Ward Councillor, Clint Baddeley has been voted in as Chairperson of Trust Waikato. The organisation is responsible for managing an investment portfolio and granting more than $7 million of donations each year to not-for-profit groups in the greater Waikato. The Trust was established in 1996 with the proceeds from the sale of the community owned Trust Waikato bank. Clint said that the Trust focusses on supporting groups to support themselves, rather than just giving handouts. He has been a member of the Trust since 2004.
Clint serves on the Board of Wintec and is chairperson of Strategy and Finance for the Waikato District Council. He has worked closely with Tainui in the Guardians of the River Establishment Committee. On Sunday mornings, Clint runs a music show on Raglan Community Radio.
Clint and his wife Jackie live in Raglan. They have two adult children who have settled in Wellington and Australia, and three grandchildren.
