Raglanites give WDC handy hint

Handy hint to WDC

Raglanites have given Waikato District Council (WDC) a handy hint for the new year about rubbish on Raglan’s beaches. The hint was made on 5th January as two large full black rubbish sacks delivered to the front door of WDC’s Raglan office.

The sacks have notes attached saying that Concerned Residents have been collecting rubbish off the beach. The rubbish comes from over full street bins with the rubbish then blown around and onto the beaches and the sea.

The note provides a handy hint for WDC: “The final rubbish collection of the day during the four week holiday period should be just before dark each day, so rubbish blowing around is minimised.
