Raglan Walks: Through the pines

Above the north end of Ngarunui Beach sit a bunch of pines, quietly watching over the harbour mouth. At the least they provide shelter, an alternative to walking the beach on a windy day. If you walk it at a particular time of the day, the light rises with you as you make your way through the pines. Occasional glimpses until you arrive, in the bright light of day, at the top. I’m pretty sure the trigg station waves a little good morning, though the last climb may have left you a little breathless and the gesture may go unnoticed.
