Raglan teenage cyclist injured on Upper Cross Street

At approximately 9:30pm on Thursday 21st December the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Raglan where a 14 year old local boy was seriously injured after crashing into a moving car on Upper Cross Street.

The boy was treated by local Fire Rescue volunteers and St John staff before being taken to the Raglan Rugby grounds to be picked up by the rescue helicopter. The boy was then flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment by the helicopter.  St John reported he was in a critical condition. A later report on Facebook said he was in a stable condition and was operated on.
