Raglan-based international surfer Daniel Kereopa and his family (partner Renee, 10 yr old daughter Nia and 8 yr old son Cabe) were used as the face of a new campaign to promote Great Lake Taupo. The campaign footage follows them on their first-ever holiday to a non-salt water destination. It shows them journey through the Great Lake Taupo region creating memories (paddle boarding, mountain biking, fishing, jet boating, sky diving), marketed as “Nature’s Ultimate Playground”.
The Kereopa’s were chosen for their laidback Kiwi attitudes, their willingness to leave behind their coastal environment in which they feel so at home and throw themselves in the (freshwater) deep-end at a place which is completely new to them. They’re also just an incredibly likeable family! Congratulations Daniel, Renee and family.
