Turn north before Whatawhata. This 3km return walk to a waterfall in the bush begins across a suspension bridge on a DoC walkway and can be extended another 2km by climbing through the bush. A further walk of about 1km includes about 500m alongside the River Waipa.
All walks start 9am Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (between museum and fire station). Car share at 10 cents per km to equate travel costs.
