Raglan Ramblers will be taking in some sculpture on Wednesday 6th February, when they visit the Waitakaruru sculpture park on the Scotsman’s Valley Road, past Tauwhare. There is a $15 entry charge to the park in a 17 hectare former quarry. There are sculptures throughout the park and 270 labelled trees among the 18,000 planted since 1991. You’ll need to bring your lunch for this one.
Walks usually start 9am Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook
