Media Release: New Zealand Lotteries Commission, Sunday, 20 January 2013, 8:39 am
The winning Lotto ticket this week was sold at the Raglan Pharmacy in Bow St, Raglan. A Lotto player from Raglan will have a welcome boost to their bank account after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division, said NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.
Meanwhile, Strike was also won by two lucky players who bought tickets at Take Note Whangamata and United Video Gore winning $85,589 each.
Powerball was not struck this evening and has jackpotted to $15 million.
Winning Wheel winner and new mother Sonya-Lee from Tokoroa won $200,000 on the live draw. Her father was nominated to spin on her behalf.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at the Lucky Lotto Shop in Rotorua. This is the second week in a row that this store has sold a Winning Wheel ticket. The serial number is 700-03513897-20xx.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.
“Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet or online,” said Mr Pickup.
“Every week Lotto players give back to their community through their game play, with millions of grants allocated each year via the Lottery Grants Board. For example, lottery grants are helping keep our beaches safe this summer, with considerable funding going to the NZ Coastguard and Surf Life Saving,” said Mr Pickup.
