Raglan now in a restricted fire season

As from 8am on 3rd February, Raglan is in a restricted fire season. This means you may need a fire permit to light an outdoor fire.

Restricted Fire Season means a permit is required to light a fire in open air. You commit an offence if you knowingly or recklessly light, or allow another person to light, a fire in open air in an area that is in a Restricted Fire Season unless under a permit issued by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Fire and Emergency NZ handle all fire seasons, restrictions and permits. To check it’s alright before you light visit https://www.checkitsalright.nz/
